Vista Tweek: Turn Off User Account Control

The most common complaint I hear about MS Vista is that "these screens always pop-up whenever I want to do something." Granted, they are annoying and all you have to do is turn off the option. Follow the steps below and you will no longer be tormented by pop-up windows asking for your permission on everything. You should be aware of the fact that Microsoft added this function to protect the user, if you are fairly certain that you have a secure computer set-up then you will not be leaving your self open to potential threats...rule of thumb, as in anything, is to use common sense when browsing or downloading software.

If you get the window below when you click on Start->Control Panel, then you want to click on the ‘Control Panel Home.'

Once you are in the ‘Control Panel Home’ then you want to click on ‘Check this computers security status’ under the 'Security' option.

Your goal is to turn off the ‘User Account Control’ so that your window looks like the one below.
